Guiding Opportunities in Norway 2009

Coastal Odyssey is accepting applications for 2009 summer guiding positions until March 01, 2009. 

Offering you the opportunity to experience Norwegian culture & paddle Norway’s majestic coastline.

We have more than 10 years of experience as an expedition guide service, are leaders in sea kayak instruction and have an industry wide reputation for safety, service and great food. We have guided thousands of paddlers on wilderness trips and are thrilled that so many guests become repeat clientele. Our trips are physically satisfying vacations that are designed to be relaxing, safe, thought-provoking and fun.

Today Coastal Odyssey has completed its 10th operational season and is Norway’s leading Sea Kayaking Company that serves over 3000 clients per season.

Multi-Day trip Sea Kayak Guide
Job Descriptions: (duties will include but are not limited to the following)

  • Guiding in the ‘classical’ sense both on and off the water
  • Meal co-ordination and shopping
  • Meal preparation
  • Equipment repair and cleaning

As a Multi-day trip Guide you will have the opportunity to guide these trips: 
- Lofoten Islands Sea Kayak Expedition
- Sea Kayak Norway’s Majestic Fjords


Day Guide – Geiranger Fjord
Coastal Odyssey operates sea kayaking programs on Geiranger Fjord which include sea kayak outings for cruise passengers and guided day trips to various attractions on the fjord.

Job Descriptions: (duties will include but are not limited to the following)

  • Taking client registration and payment
  • Guiding day trips in the ‘classical’ sense
  • Working at the kayak rental program
  • Equipment repair and cleaning
